Scarlett Braden is the author of the Providence in Ecuador suspense series, and the editor of Friends in Foreign Places: An Expat Anthology- a project designed to raise money for earthquake recovery on Ecuador’s northern coast. She is one of seven women contributors to Seven Degrees of Wisdom -Welcome to Our Circle, and one of 13 women who wrote for Seven Degrees of Wisdom Digging Deeper. Her newfound love of writing poetry has produced Psst! Your Wisdom's Showing and a collaborative book called Three Sisters: Mystic, Priestess, Wild Woman (published as S.J. Braden). Scarlett is currently working on two new series which should begin releasing in March 2018.
She is a member of Writing Our World, a writer’s support group, a regular participant at The Spoken Word, a member of the steering committee for the annual Cuenca International Writer’s Conference, and is the founder of Signature Author Services- a Virtual Assistant company for authors.
A former technical writer, Scarlett moved from the southern United States to Ecuador in 2014. Cuenca, nestled in the Andes mountains is now home. She shares her home with her 15-year-old Bichon who also immigrated from the U.S. and a 3-year-old Ecuadorian pound puppy. She says having one English speaking dog and one Spanish speaking dog has helped progress her Spanish significantly.
Between writing and helping other writers, her writer's conference duties, walks along the river and coffee and lunch dates with friends, Scarlett doesn’t have much time for other activities. She does take time out periodically to travel around her new country, loves adult coloring books, Motown night, karaoke, crochet and intends to pursue some hiking in the beautiful Andes this year.
